Dolomites Spa Resort Bad Moos

A holiday full of mountain sports, history, wellness and regional delicacies.

At the entrance to the enchanting Fiscalina Valley, in the middle of the Sesto Dolomites Nature Park, which is part of the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage Site, the 4-star Resort Bad Moos is romantically situated on the edge of a larch forest by the Sesto stream. Right next to the house, the gondola lift leads up to the Rotwand meadow. In summer this means: "From the bed into the gondola" and from there into the most beautiful hiking and mountain bike area. In winter: "Ski in, ski out" and into the Sesto Dolomites ski area with 93 kilometres of slopes. For cross-country skiers, the Fischleintalloipe starts in front of the Bad Moos - Dolomites Spa Resort and leads past the house into the Alta Pusteria cross-country skiing paradise: with over 200 km of groomed trails, the number one cross-country skiing region in Italy.

History

The bathing springs of Bad Moos have been known for 350 years. There is evidence of bathing since 1765, and a bathhouse was built around 1800. The Hotel Bad Moos is one of five hotels with a spa concession in South Tyrol. During the First World War, the Sesto Dolomites were a hard-fought theatre of war. You can follow these traces on guided hikes and excursions directly from Hotel Bad Moos. For example, to the open-air museum of the Bellum Aquilarum Association on the Anderter Alpe, where positions from the First World War can be visited.

Medical SPA

Wellness at Resort Bad Moos always means healing. All treatments in the SPA Bad Moos have the origin of their power in the healing effect of the St. Valentin spring, which flows directly into the SPA Bad Moos and is used there in all areas and treatments. It rises at the foot of the Rotwand with a temperature of 6.1°C, is classified as very rich in minerals, fluoride, sulphate, calcium and magnesium.

Culinary delights

"Tradition meets modernity" - this is the motto by which the kitchen team creates newly interpreted, international specialities with a South Tyrolean touch. One secret of this easily digestible and refined cuisine is the wild herbs that grow around Bad Moos. Regional products are used with conviction, such as the cheese from the Sesto cheese dairy.

You will find the following charging options on site:

  • 1 x Type 2 charging station (22 kW)

In addition, the resort provides its guests with a BMW i3 rental car.
