ALPURIS was born out of love for the mountains - and that is a guarantee for special quality. The host and hostess were clear: they did not want a hotel with 30 or 40 rooms, but a very personal house. Modern and nature-conscious technology is hidden behind the noble walls. The energy is provided by solar panels, the heating is supplied by the district heating system in Cavalese. This in turn is powered entirely by wood from the valley. The spruce wood from the Val di Fiemme is world famous. Especially the trees from the area of the Paneveggio Natural Park have been valued for many generations as raw material for musical instruments. As a guest, one feels spontaneously at home here. The wide open valley with its vast meadows on the northern slopes and the dense mountain forests on the southern side offers plenty of light and wonderful views. 

The fact that there is no restaurant in the ALPURIS, but only the lounge bar with drinks and snacks, is not a problem for the vacationers:inside. Cavalese, like the whole Val di Fiemme, is full of culinary treasures, some of which are within walking distance of the ALPURIS. The offer is versatile for a small mountain village and ranges from star restaurants to wine bars and bistros to the noble pizzeria. Also restaurants with traditional cuisine are well represented. 

Mountains as far as the eye can see

The main role here, however, is played by the mountains - all year round. In winter, just a few steps from the cable car to Alpe Cermis and from the cross-country ski trails, where also the famous Marcialonga takes place every year. Otherwise perfect for excursions by bike for example on the bike path through the valley further to Canazei and back with the Bici bus. Or in the direction of Latemar, alternatively also walks in the Catinaccio area or around the Passo di San Pellegrino with the romantic alpine pasture Fuciade.
