Hotel Försterhof

Hotel with an eventful history

The history of the Försterhof at Lake Wolfgang is inextricably linked with the Dittlbach estate and the Dittlbach mill and dates back to the Middle Ages. As early as 1592, the "Mill", as the toll mill on the border of the ecclesiastical principality of Salzburg near St. Wolfgang was known, was a fixture in the region. The mill was owned by the Gaßner family for over 300 years before it was finally demolished in 1885. Only a little later, in 1903, the then forester's home opened its doors. In 1998, the estate was extensively renovated. This was the starting signal for today's Försterhof.

The 4-star hotel belongs to the Lebe Pur Resorts and is in a prime location in St. Wolfgang. In the midst of an impressive natural landscape, both the hotel's own bathing beach and the town centre are only a ten-minute walk away. The Schafberg railway station and the boat landing stage are only a five-minute walk from the Försterhof.

The hotel has made it its goal to offer guests appealing rooms and a unique atmosphere. Combined with the amenities of a Lebe Pur resort, guests enjoy holiday flair at the highest level. An in-house spa area, a private bathing area on Lake Wolfgang and culinary delights in the Försterhof restaurant are just some of the highlights that await you here.
