In Salzburg-Maxglan, known for its impressive city villas and generous green spaces, lies the Grüne Hotel zur Post. The 100% organic hotel is surrounded by the GARTEN-HAUS, the BÜRGER-HAUS, the APARTMENT-HAUS and the Villa Ceconi.

In this unique location you will find an oasis of well-being of a special kind. From single rooms to flats - including rooms for guests with limited mobility - the 40 rooms differ in size, but not in comfort and sustainability: the towels are made of organic cotton, soaps and shampoos from certified natural cosmetics. The thermal solar system heats the hot water and the LED lights are powered by the PV system. As soon as the sun goes down, the pellet heating system kicks in, connecting all the houses by means of a microgrid. The pellets are also of organic quality and only organic pellets from Salzburg are used for heating.

The BIOsophie and regionality are also lived without compromise at breakfast. For the eco-savvy owner Georg Maier, this has been the only direction since he took over his grandparents' business in 1999. Guests who travel to the hotel in an environmentally friendly manner by train, bike or e-car are rewarded with a 10% discount on the daily room rate. All guests can refuel their e-mobile free of charge at the hotel's own filling station. The green Hotel zur Post is a cooperation partner of Sleep Green Hotels, Bio Hotels, Bio Paradies Salzburger Land and BIO Austria. In addition, the hotel has been awarded the Austrian Eco-label and the European eco-label, is a member of the Climate Alliance Salzburg, ehc-certified and awarded as a green hotel by Umwelt Service Salzburg.
