Traditional charm in the Alps

In Grindelwald, surrounded by the imposing mountain panorama of the three-thousand-metre peaks, lies the family-run Hotel Gletschergarten. With over 120 years of history, the hotel is already being run by the fourth generation. The traditional chalet offers Alpine-style rooms and flats with newly renovated bathrooms. All rooms and flats have a balcony or terrace with a view. The flats, named after the surrounding peaks, are equipped with two to three bedrooms and a fully equipped kitchen and are perfect for families.

The restaurant offers a rich breakfast buffet with fresh and regional products. Dinner provides further culinary delights as the chef creates 4-course menus with influences from French, Swiss and Italian cuisine.

For sports and activity enthusiasts, the Grindelwald region has plenty to offer in summer as well as winter: From hiking, paragliding, cycling tours, curling and ice hockey to alpine skiing and snowboarding. After an active day in the fresh mountain air, the hotel's wellness area, consisting of a steam bath, sauna and relaxation room, invites you to unwind.

The importance of sustainability is not only reflected in the restaurant, which offers many regional products, because the Hotel Gletschergarten also heats with neutral district heating from Grindelwald.
