The Chedi Andermatt

Enter, take a deep breath, switch off!

The word "Chedi" means "temple" in Thai – and that's exactly how you should feel at the 5-star deluxe hotel in Andermatt. A place of peace and inner contemplation, nestled between the imposing Gemsstock and the legendary Schöllenen Gorge. In the middle of the Ursern Valley and easily accessible from Zurich, Munich and Milan via three Alpine passes, Andermatt has become an insider's address in the Swiss mountains both at home and abroad in recent years.

At The Chedi Andermatt you sleep with the Om factor. Lots of wood and natural stone, combined with three-metre high ceilings and a reduced design, create a symbiosis of Asian and Alpine culture in the 123 rooms and suites. Panoramic windows bring nature indoors, a flickering fireplace gives warmth and security, soft cashmere blankets and leather armchairs invite you to cocoon de luxe.

Surrounded by mountains, forests and meadows, Andermatt and The Chedi Andermatt have dedicated themselves entirely to nature. The building with its characteristic wooden façade was built according to the Minergie standard, and all electricity comes from hydroelectric power – so the hotel conserves valuable resources and works in a particularly sustainable way. However, the green idea does not end at the room or front door: recently, the first electric SUV joined the hotel's vehicle fleet. This means you can travel to and from the hotel with particularly low emissions if you wish.

You will find the following charging options on site:
