In the footsteps of a pioneer

In this design hotel, which offers both suites and fully equipped flats, you will find one of the most beautiful accommodations in the Alpe di Siusi holiday region. The mountaineer Paula Wiesinger was a visionary of her time. She opened up numerous difficult routes in the Dolomites in the 1930s. As a ski racer she became world champion in 1932 and Italian champion 15 times in the course of her life. But it was not only on the slopes and on the rocks that she set new standards: together with her husband Hans Steger, she later bought a hut on the Alpe di Siusi. There she laid the foundation stone for a hotel and catering business that still delights those seeking recreation there today.

The Paula Wiesinger Apartments & Suites were opened in 2015 near the centre of Siusi allo Sciliar in memory of the pioneer and are perfectly located to follow in the footsteps of their namesake. Whether skiing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing or hiking, walking, biking and climbing - winter and summer you will find everything you need for a relaxing holiday in the Dolomites. The spacious rooms are complemented by a stylish wellness area with various saunas and steam bath. The interior design is reminiscent of Paula Wiesinger's sporting successes as well as her tireless efforts to preserve the Alpe di Siusi as a nature reserve.
